Customizable french Word Generator
This is a generator primarily intended for teachers and parents. For each use, it provides 100 words, or fewer, randomly selected. The words selected are French words chosen according to criteria such as difficulty level, initial letter(s), contained letter(s), or ending. A new list is created for each draw. The database contains various words that a student may encounter during their early years of learning.
Customizable Word Generator
Simply choose the parameters and then click "Generate". The generated words can be downloaded as a PDF file by clicking the "Download" button.
Composition of the downloadable word list
This is a list of French words adapted to the school levels of the first years of studying the French language. It consists of over 12,000 words. The words include infinitive and conjugated verbs, singular and plural adjectives, feminine and masculine forms. In fact, for one adjective, you can find all its forms, and for another, you may find only one form. The list contains French words in the form they are used in school.
Important note: The list is not exhaustive of all words and is not a list drawn from a dictionary. Indeed, several "adult" words are absent, such as: sexy, sexuality, rape, inflation, recession, menstruation, hormone, Christianity, Islam, Jesus,...
Nature of the generated words
This application randomly generates 100 words. If a search yields 800 results, then it is highly likely that the list generated after the second draw will be different from the first list, even if the same criteria are used. The limit of 100 was set for technical reasons only.

Accents
We know that in French, generally the presence or absence of an accent can change the meaning of the word. For example, "tache" and "tâche" are different, and "du" and "dû" are different. For this reason, there are two types of searches in this generator.
If the "ignore accents" box is checked (default choice): In the search, "e" is considered equal to "é" and "o" is considered equal to "ô". So if you search for a word starting with "e", you find: étage - épicier - excellent - existait - étonné ....
If the "ignore accents" box is not checked: In the search, "e" is different from "é" and "o" is different from "ô". So if you search for a word starting with "e", you find: entrez - en - esprit - exacte - et - emploi - espoire but you do not find "école".
